| Estimates |

In most cases, estimates are provided in writing and are free of charge except in the case of out of hours emergency call out work, which is fully chargeable. There will also be a minimal and fair charge made for attending to provide a quote where there is a cost to us, for example parking fees or the Congestion Charge. Estimates are always conducted during the hours of daylight.
For larger projects exceeding the sum of approximately £10,000, a fixed fee of £200 plus VAT is charged to cover the time elements involved with numerous site visits and the preparation of an extensive written estimate.

| Our Charges |
There is no call out charge with Bates, simply a minimum charge of one hour on all jobs with further work billed in 30 minute increments.
A list of our standard and hourly rates is shown below. Please note that all rates exclude materials which when supplied by us are charged at cost plus 20%. VAT is chargeable at 20%.
Payments
Payment is required in full on completion of the work, credit is not offered without prior agreement. Failure to pay will incur additional charges and interest rate charges from the date the work was completed.
Methods of Payment
Credit or debit card, cash or bacs payment. We do not accept cheques. (credit and debit card payments will incur a 3% transaction charge)
